A Quick Hiatus~

Sorry for not posting in such a while. I've been quite busy over here memorizing my six page poem. Memorizing a six page poem? you ask. Yes.

I entered a poetry contest a while ago and have been accepted into the finals. This will be my third (and last) year entering. The first time I entered, I won second place. The second time I entered, I won first. This year I'm hoping for first again, but I'm just entering for the fun of entering, so what place I get this year doesn't matter, really.

My first two poems were under twelve verses....This year, my subconsciousness must've urged me to go out with a bang, for I wrote eighteen verses over six pages. THANKFULLY, I got it all memorized in six days, so now I just have to repeat it over and over out loud in under four minutes for the next two weeks before the finals! HOOYAH!

So, no doubt anything superbly creative won't be happening for about two weeks, so blog updates will be scarce. Getting my poem down pat is very important to me right now, especially since this is my last year being able to enter. =3

♥The Valentine Debut♥

Taadaa! The Valentine's debut! I know, it's not much, but I got a little busy and couldn't finish all of the projects that I had planned to, but I did get these two done. =D Yay~! Now, the crocheted goodie above is actually a place-mat sized washcloth that I folded into the shape of a heart in order to get all of it in the picture. At the moment, it is folded up neatly and placed on my bookshelf, awaiting further instruction. =3 Don't worry. It has lots of friends. The five pictures on the side are of my decoupaged half-disaster. It's partway finished, but the one side is giving me a hard time, so I'm still working to spiff it up as much as possible. Even though it's not done, I figured I'd post some pretty piccies of the W.I.P. anyway. Perhaps someone has a suggestion as to what to do with it now? I have some pictures of chocolate goodies that I plan to glue on the pink side, but don't quite know if I need anything else on the side before I start doing that. Hmmmmmmmm.... Anyway, I hope you all have a very wonderful Valentine's Day! Be sure to tell everyone you know that you care about them. I Am Ill....I Know It.

I am going to openly confess that I have a serious problem with the design template creator thing. xD I can't get enough of it! There are so many different, wonderful backgrounds and not enough time to try them all in one day.

Bwuahahahaha!

I just want to constantly change the background depending on what mood I'm in. o.o
Some days I feel like I should be in some amazing European city, slowly waltzing down the warm streets, eyes turned toward the flowery-windowbox-ed buildings around me, nose gracefully tilted toward the stalls of aromatic spices and fresh fruits and veggies (in a nutshell, a tourist in some place like Italy. 8D). And other days I feel like I could dress up in kimono and take a quiet walk down a rainy street in Tokyo (how funny that my sister is listening to Japanese music, "Chocolate" by Kaya to be exact), wooden sandals clip-clopping down the street. -dreamy sigh-

So be prepared to see a bazillion different layouts. I fully intend to change the background often. And I mean often. ;-D

I was getting tired of the fabric background, so I decided to support the Singles Awareness Day by making the background wonderful red roses~ -sings and dances-

Curse the Busy Week!

Ah, yes. So sorry about not posting for about a week now. It's been a very busy week. Lots to do, lots to do. And yet, nothing much to write about, strangely enough. o.o

I bought two skeins of yarn the yesterday, one white, one pink. =3 No, not just for Valentine's Day projects, but also because I intend to make some presents for a friend who is having a baby soon. ^o^ She's the first friend of mine who has had a baby, so this is a big thing for me! AND the baby will be born in late May, probably sometime close to my own birthday, so that makes this deal EVEN BIGGER. And the baby is a girl (hence the pink and white yarn), so let's just say the deal is mucho grande jumbo super sized and leave it at that.

Anyway, my Valentine's projects are actually moving rather slowly (thank you busy week! [not...] ), but I hope to successfully attack them this weekend and finish their pink little selves up. ♥

And no. I don't have a Valentine. <.< At least not like a boyfriend or anything. Family counts and I have a pretty big familia~ So yeah. =D

Pink Isn't My Favorite Color....

So I'm working on one of my Valentine's Day surprises at the moment....But I'm having a bit of a dilemma.

I know you're not supposed to judge art before the work is finished, but this may be the exception.

It just looks...cheesy. o.o Of course, it may just be my slight distaste for the dominant color, but it DOES look cheesy. -nods slowly-

I'll have to spiff it up with some other colors, I think....Or perhaps a theme would work.

And I thought gluing everything with a glue stick would make the entire process easier, but now I've got bubbles in the paper! Ugh!
