Fascinating Scribbles!

So the textbook I rented for school back in January has the same writing inside that two other similar textbooks I just bought from Goodwill have. Kinda crazy... in a good way!

What do you all think?
Same person?
I know the last two on the right are, but compared to the one on the left?
There are also the same colored highlighters in all three books.

Early-Summer Felicitations~!

"He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son,
but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son."
Proverbs 10:5

Summer is almost here, my friends! I can feel it in the air (when I am not inhaling large amounts of yellow pollen!), and I know that soon it will be hot! The days are getting up to 80 degrees, and today a genuine thunderstorm, complete with lightning and thunder, rolled through!

These last two weeks are going to be crazy, as I'm sure I've mentioned before. Papers due, finals to prep for, and projects to work on. It's insane.

Here's wishing you all a wonderful, productive early-summer! Hopefully the weather is as lovely where you are as it is here!

Happy Sunday! ♥

Goats and Gardens

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! I spent a little bit of my day outside taking these pictures and playing with our dear little herd of goats. What darlings they are, all so different and sweet. It was pleasant way to spend the evening, and I'm glad I did so.

I have a little break at the moment from homework and figured I'd take a few moments to come post before the stress of finals slams back into me. I have missed coming on here and posting as much as I used to, and since I am not taking any summer classes (though getting a job is in order!), I have plans for then! I have inspiration for some posts that may be just writing, as I'd like to start making more "essay" type things, and I hope to have plenty of photography to share with you all then as well.

As for what is going on right now, it's the usual. Our goat herd has expended and is full of little sweeties...one more buck is on the way home now as I type this! They are so much fun to watch, especially since the desire to climb just comes naturally with them. They'll stand on your back when you go into their yard and bend over. They climb their little houses, they climb the manger, they climb on the logs we have as their playground...and then those little puffs of fluff on their backsides begin to wag, and then they leap and wiggle around in the air, the epitome of "ants in your pants." Such darlings. The short-haired all white one is Dairy Queen (aka, pest. Affectionately), the white one with brown spots is Pollyanne, the longer-haired blond one with little horns is Lady June, and then we have two multi-colored does named Cookie and Cream, and then our newest one, a buck named (for the time being) Calvin.

And that's our herd!

Today we also got some little guinea fowl, and they are the quietest chicks I have ever babysat. Whenever we get a batch of chicks, they inevitably end up spending a few nights in my room under a heat lamp while the brooder is being set up, and these guys were nothing like chicks. Chicks, naturally, cheep and squeak and run around. These little ones curled up around each other and huddled down in a quiet, striped ball. Such darlings. They're out in the brooder now, in the warmth and growing big!

As far as school goes, I'm all signed up for fall classes (though I have been forced to remain a full time student, much to my dismay). Though almost all the classes for my major are only offered online for my campus, so with the rising prices of fuel, I'll be spared daily trips to the campus. Which is nice, but there will be a ton of online work for me to do here at home. Not that I have a problem with that. Growing up home schooled tends to make one favor online courses! Haha! But the current classes are going really well. I'm going to miss all my instructors. All of them. Equally. Ah well, that's what Facebook is for. -nods-

On the reading front, I finished a book! Yes, after all this time, I finished a book and started another. It was a refreshing feeling, one I missed dearly. Among my list of things I want to do this summer, attack the pile of books I have yet to read is one of them. First thing on that list.

As far as art goes, I haven't really made anything serious. I've tinkered with crochet little totes and honeypot-shaped things, but nothing stunningly gorgeous. Most of what I crochet now is purely to help me relax and unwind at the end of the day.

So, that's what's been going on here in a nutshell. Finals are coming, and the math one scares the daylights out of me, as math has been the only subject to make me despise its existence. And it's not that I hate it...I just wish...it wasn't hanging around me.

Hope you all have had a wonderful start to your week! ♥
